Best Hotels/Area for Families

Hi -- we have a few families meeting in Nashville for spring break and are looking for a hotel in a fun, quirky, safe neighborhood. It'd be great to stay in an area that's interesting and safe for kids to walk around.

Time is running out! We'd appreciate any ideas? Thanks!

Sounds more like a bed & breakfast - is this what you're looking for? Otherwise, do you have any objections to staying downtown Nashville? That way, you can walk around to plenty of the attractions and restaurants without ever needing a car. What are the ages of the kids traveling with you?

How much time will you spend in Nashville? Staying at Opryland is a great option w/ kids (with the Opry Mills mall right next door). But if you want to go downtown Nashville - you do have to drive although it only takes about 15 mins to get there. I think Opryland might have shuttle service too - so that would work out great if you're without wheels.

Do you mean that you want your kids to go off by themselves? If this is the case, while overall Nashville is considered a very safe city, I'm not sure that any downtown hotel would be safe for kids walking by themselves - a lot also depends on how old they are. Opryland Hotel is a great choice, but I still would not let young kids run around or hang out without adult supervision.
