Hi, I am looking for a place to live and have looked around for awhile, but I don't know what part of Nashville or the suburbs of Nashville are better than others. Any advice would be appreciated.

Any of these are good areas - and of course a lot depends on your budget - Green Hills, Gallatin, Hendersonville, Murfreesboro, East Nashville, Brentwood, Franklin. Also a lot depends on where you'll be working and if you'll be driving during rush hours.
It also has alot to do with your budget, what type of housing you are looking for (urban loft, single family home, condo, etc). If you are just poking around, you can get a good feel for the various areas by searching the homes for sale on the MLS. Go to www.realtracs.com. This is the method I used when I relocated to the area. Nashville and it's surrounding communities are great! You wont regret your decision. If you need any additional information on local real estate, please do not hesitate to call me.

I am planning a move to Nashville in the next 6 months and have been checking on apartments to rent. Need advice on nice, safe places. (2 bdrm/2 ba) Wondered if anyone knew anything about 865 Bellevue Apts., or Hillmeade, or Post Ridge or the Arbors at Hermitage?? Also interested in Carrington Park, The Hamptons at Woodland Pt., Timberlake Village, or Aldridge at Gateway Village?
I have a dog and am leaning towards a townhouse.
I would appreciate any advice on good areas. Thank you so much!
I'm relocating to Nashville as well and you will find that usually the ads for apartments don't tell you all that you need to know!
Also, visiting the area and driving through the communities both during the day and at night - and during the weekend - is wise.
Calling the complex and talking to someone who works there also gives you a good indication of what to expect. They will usually be very nice to you when they think you are going to move in...
A third option would be to call the local police department and ask about the crime rates in that particular neighborhood.
Good luck!
