    Default For my 50th.

My wife is taking me and our 17 year old son to Nashville tomorrow night; Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and come home Sunday morning, for my 50th birthday. We have never been to Nashville, but always wanted to go. We are also music lovers, especially bluegrass. We all play and were hoping to find some jam opportunities for my son, an expert banjo picker. Once at a motel we don't want to drive and are willing to walk some. Where should we stay to hear good music, see the best of the city, and maybe find a jam session? Looking for a good motel that will not eat the entire budget. Thanks, Larry

If you love Bluegrass you have to go to the Station Inn and I think they have an open jam on Sunday's. It's pretty expensive to stay downtown but there's a couple of places around Music Row that are affordable.
