Wildhorse Saloon’s Battle for the Saddle Competition The Wildhorse Saloon, 120 2nd Ave. North, Nashville, TN 37201 / The third installment of the world-famous Wildhorse Saloon’s Battle for the Saddle competition is set for tonight (May 4), and Dave Robbins from the country band Blackhawk will serve on the panel of judges for charity. A portion of the night’s cover charges will go to the Van Stephenson Memorial Cancer Research Fund. The legendary venue is looking to lasso country music’s next big act, and the winner of the 3rd annual competition will receive a lucrative package, including permanent rotation as a house band, a showcase with music industry executives, a photo shoot and an appearance during Country Music Association (CMA) week. The competition is open to the public, and the judging process takes audience’s response into consideration. Show starts at 7 p.m. The final night of competition takes place on May 17.
