Hello,

I am a musician from NYC, coming through Nashville Mid August. I've read through the form and know what the deal is with the venues. How about a place to crash for a reasonable rate, places to go for a decent meal at a decent price, or even a place just to talk to some local musicians who wouldn't mind lending some friendly advice?

Any help would be greatly appreciate. I've never been to Nashville, and I would just like to meet some people, maybe play and learn.

Thanks,

Consider Music City Hostel for cheap rates. Check out Rotier's, Demo's Steak & Spaghetti House, Brown's Diner (hole in wall), Elliston Place Soda Shop....all good and reasonably priced places to eat....

Go to the honky tonk bars downtown and strike up conversations with people. Go to writers night and meet people there too. As for cheap decent places to eat - I really like Baja Burrito and Wild Wasabi (about $11 for all you can eat sushi).
