Can you suggest any good dinning places. I will be coming to nashville for the first time the week of March 14th. Nothing to fancy more on the casual side. Any suggestions would be helpful.
Thanks

Nashville has lots of great restaurants. You didn't mention what kind of food you like, so here are a couple of suggestions of differing types: 1) Samurai Sushi on Elliston Place at Louise Avenue is one of Nashville's best kept secrets. They have lunch and dinner hours. They open for dinner at 5:00. Expect to spend around $25 for three choices that includes one special roll. 2) Miel Restaurant on 53rd at Charlotte offers French cuisine (yeah, in Nashville!) using many locally grown organics. mielrestaurant.com 3) There's a knock out Turkish restaurant in Lion's Head called Anatolias. It has the best desserts I've ever put in my mouth. It's a bit pricier and you can expect to spend around $40 for a meal and dessert. anatolia-restaurant.com 5) For basic great Southern food, check out Monells in the Germantown area of Nashville. It's on 6th Avenue North at Monroe. This place is a family-style dining place where you are seated at tables of about 12 with others. A full table starts the meal, and go hungry! Everything there is great, and you eat as much as you want for about $12. At any given meal you may sit with Nashville locals or friends from around the world who make it a point to visit this restaurant each time they come to Nashville. Friday night is catfish night. 6) Cafe Coco at 210 Louise Ave has New Yorker-turned Nashvillian Italian food. You can get everything from a great burger to panini sandwiches and it is open 24 hrs a day for everything. It is also a coffee house. You'll see a wide variety of people here. You can get a whole meal and a good coffee drink or beer for less than $12. 7) Loveless Motel out on Highway 100 has been around for years and has traditional salty ham and biscuits and other scrumptious specialties from the South. You won't find any light cholesterol food here but you won't leave hungry. It's right next to the Natchez Trace Parkway.
None of these places are chain establishments as far as I know. We also have great chain places like Maggianos, standbys like Cracker Barrel, etc.
Hope that gets you started. Those are the first ones that come to mind. Have fun!
