Help! Getting Married in Nashville.

My fiancee and I have recently relocated to the Springfield TN area. I was planning a Costa Rican wedding, but due to some medical bills, uncertain employment, and lack of insurance we are going to need to put that idea on hold. Hopefully, we will make it there next year. We would like to get married in the Nashville area as soon as possible.

Ideally, we'd like to do something a little bit different (not so run of the mill).

My fiancee is not exactly religious, so something with a more spiritual flavor would be appropriate.

Lastly, something informal is preferred.

Does anyone have any ideas?

Hey there delynn10! Can you give us a bit more information? Will it just be you two? Will you have guests and if so, how many? Have you looked into getting a notary to marry you? Here are some suggestions - find a notary and see if you that person can marry you perhaps at the Parthenon steps in Centennial Park. Contact Nashville Parks & Recreation for more info (615) 862-8431. Another idea is to contact Cheekwood Botanical Gardens -(615) 356-8000 - and see what the cost will be to have a notary marry the two of you on their grounds.
