My daughter is 14 years old. She has been singing for as long as I can remember. She began doing karaoke when she was about 7 years old.

She has such a great voice and all she wants to do is sing. I would like to know what I can do to get her heard?

She is not a writer.....yet, but very talented and writing may be something she would begin doing as she gets older, however, she has a voice that needs to be heard NOW.

We will be visiting Nashville the middle of July and she is so very excited about the trip. We live in Missouri so it really isn't that far for us. I would love it if someone could tell me how to make this trip the beginning of something fabulous for my daughter.

Thank you for any information you can give me.

Your best bet is to go to open mic nights - Here are some suggestions:

The Blue Bird Cafe, 4104 Hillsboro Road, Nashville, TN, Tel. 615.383.1461
"Play The Blue Bird" - There are specific guidelines - See if your daughter qualifies: http://www.bluebirdcafe.com/play/index.htm

Hall of Fame Lounge, located in the Best Western Music Row, 1407 Division Street, Nashville, 615-242-1631. Best way to get info is by sending an e-mail to: davidleesongs@aol.com

Douglas Corner Cafe, 2106-A 8th Avenue South, Nashville
Open mic is every Tuesday. For specifics, give them a call: 615-298-1688.

Best of luck! :)
