Hi,

I'm down here in Huntsville and there is a new band playing at the Holiday Inn (nightclub called Hoppers) here in Huntsville called Peter and the Wolf. They are replacing a popular singer (Rudi Mockabee). I understand they have been in the Nashville scene for a while. Just wondering what the Nashville crowd thinks of them. They have big shoes to fill here.

i don't think rudi's shoes were that hard to fill. he played tired old songs to a tired old crowd. week after week. never anything new. always the same hohum stuff. peter and the wolf have new and up to date music that appeals to a wider variety of people. and even tho we are a mature crowd that hangs at hoppers, some of us are still hip and quite with it in the music field. i hope these guys stay around for a loong time. i love them. as far as who the wolf is seeing, how do u feel that this is any of your business? to publically smear someone like that is just tasteless. go peter and the wolf, you rock.!

I do not know how the holiday Inn is allowed to have this band. They have cleaned up their act a lot but still it is very embarrassing. If you are a clean church going person I would not recommend going to the Holiday Inn At Madison Square Mall In Huntsville.

The Holiday Inn can have this band just as any other establishment can have the bands that they have. It is a privately owned (or franchised) business that is providing entertainment to it's customers, of whom all have made a choice to be there. What could possibly be very embarrassing about them? If you are in the establishment during their show, you must be an adult and if you are an adult and are embarrassed by what you see from them, then you have led a very sheltered life.

In the NIV version of the Bible, Mark 16:15 says to "Go into all the world and preach the good news to all creation." I fail to see where it says to go into all the world except Holiday Inn at Madison Square Mall. You know, being a church going person makes you no more of a Chrisitan than standing in a garage makes you a car. The true Chrisitanity comes from the relationship one has with God, not from where they choose to listen to music.
You sound like a very bitter individual with a not so hidden, personal agenda. I have been a "Hopper's regular" for more years than I care to count. I spent many years listening to Rudy and Roberta, Rudy and Emily....
and while Rudy was and is good, it was time for a change. If you can open your eyes and get beyond your
resentment, you will find a crowd that has grown to love and appreciate Peter and the Wolf. They have a large following and a lot of support from the people in Huntsville.
And by the way---no one makes you go to hear Peter and The Wolf....if you don't like them, simply stay away.
For the rest of us, we will choose to continue supporting them and enjoy the high level of energy, professionalism, musical talent and entertainment that they bring to Huntsville every time they step on stage!

I am from Nashville and was a follower of Peter and the Wolf back in the 90's...and I moved to Huntville in 2002 and was very very suprised to see Peter and the Wolf were playing here in Huntville.....I wasnt for sure if it was the same and yes they were....they are awesome ....awesome 2 guys that make alot of people have fun....It was so so good seeing them again and yes they remembered me.........Nashville loved them and from what I can tell Huntsville does too....Debbie

My first thought is if you are a church going person why are you in a bar in the first place, I have heard Peter and Wolf several times and I am a "church person" and I have not seen anything that offended me. maybe you need to go else where.

Who says if you go to church you can't go to a clubb?? Can you pointe out were that saying is written. Just because some people go to hear "Peter and the Wolf" don't make them sinners!!!! Get over it. There is other music besides gospel that people love to hear!! I myself go to church and they don't look down on me!!!! I usually just walk around and talk to people maybe dance some. I am not much of a dancer. But I have noticed wolf and peter's girlfiends are very elegant and not out to just pick up anybody. I have seen a lot of tasteless women and men as well there. Peter and the wolf just keep playing your music as well as always. Hold on to your better half as well. I would hate to lknow that I let my most elegant lady go just to be with some of those scum bag guys that come in there. Vice versa. Some of those ladies also are as worse as the men. I myself have a girlfriend and I do love her vey much so I know I wouldn't trade her for one of those ladies. I moved here from. Louisana for work. I still go home every other weekend and I am hoping she will move here also. I won't get to be ther this weekend but I know you will have a lot of people there to hear you.

Dude, those ladies are fine as hell and I can't help but pop a mean hard on when they grind on me at Hoppers. They love to dance, so I always get on the floor with them. I've gotten the blond to give me a beej in the bathroom, but I hear if you get a room upstairs they will have some fun while their boyfriends play at the bar. Go for it, dude! We also have been going there for a while but never did you have to worry about anything like this. Do you think that if the band QUIT playing those like sex songs it would be better. Rudy did NOT play any songs like that. If the management tell them they need to NOT play those songs, it may turn out like it once was. We are of all ages there, so we don't want to hear something like take your clothes off or back your ass up. That is telling everyone it is ok to do that!! We don't want to hear that kind of music were we can't get on the floor and just have fun. We are more grown up than those kids are. So it is like saying go ahead and do it.
