Hello all!

I recently moved down here to Nashville since completing college. I started an internship on Music Row, so my working world is running full tilt. I'm still itching to get a band together and am seeking similarly, driven folk.

Originally from Portland (Oregon), I went to Boston to study arranging and orchestration. I play guitar mainly, but have also studied piano, drumset, and voice. I'm fond of hometown bands like Menomena and New Orleans-based Mute Math that feature versatile instrumentalists and am wondering what living in Nashville will afford my hope of creating a band in that vein.

Please contact me if this piques your mind. If I were to asked to summarize my musical tastes in 5 artists or less, I would favor these artists - Nine Inch Nails, Mary Chapin Carpenter, The Decemberists, Rush, and The Beatles. :)

HI.
I'm a freshman at MTSU and i'm kinda looking at the same road your on. :D I've played piano for 12 years now. I'm having a hard time right now getting myself to practice because i have no instructor at the moment and therefore no motivation. But i love to play. That is my dream, to play the keyboard for a band. Although lately i've been kinda thinking about teaching. I'm rather shy so i don't know if i can do that or not. :D so that sounds awesome and i'm sure you'll get somewhere with it. I love Nashville, even know ironicly i've never been there. lol. ok well nice meeting you.
