G'day there...

Im an aussie & will be in the US for October/November 08 & while my mates in are in Florida for a week (2nd November to 10th), I've decided im gunna trek to Nashville & check out the sights (alone ) rather than beach it up in Miami etc.. I've always wanted to go to Nashville so I cant wait...

In that time im gunna check out the local sights etc.. But just wondering about the bar's etc.. I wanna go to the Bluebird Cafe & The Blue Bar and Rack Room but im just wondering what other bar's are in Nashville that I should check out..

Im hoping some nice Nashville local's will befriend me over a beer or two so I dont spent everynight talking to myself..

Oh & how gay friendly is Nashville?? Im not a 'queen' but i still dont wanna have any issue's...

If you're driving up from Miami, it'll take you approximately 14 hours to drive here. Just hang out in downtown Nashville - close to where Broadway & 2nd Ave meet. There are lots of bars to check out. Roberts Western World, Tootsies, Bluegrass Inn, Legends Corner.....Nashville does have gay bars - a few to mention - Tribe, Lipstick Lounge and Excess/Orbit. ; )

Thanks for that!! Not really keen on the gay bars - but as long as its all pretty laid back I will be cool!!

Flying into Nashville & will be there for a week & cant wait. Havent wanted to go for ages!!

How far is memphis from Nashville?? I wanna go to graceland as well & soaking up all of 'music city'...

Memphis is a bit over 200 miles from Nashville. Highway driving (on 40) so it takes between 3 - 3 1/2 hours to get there. Depends on how fast / slow you drive!
