Hi. I'm a songwriter(rock), and I've recently moved to Nashville. I'm wondering if anyone knows a good way to make contact with singers that want songwriters to work with.
The only place I've found so far is craigslist, but maybe someone here knows of some bulletin boards somewhere, or just places that singers go, where one could network with singers. Thanks for any help

Have you joined the Nashville Songwriters Association International (NSAI)? One of their benefits as a member includes improving your connections within the music community. ;)
Here's their info:

There's also something the George Jones recently set up called George Jones University, for people interested in working in the music business.

The most important consideration is what level are you at and how do you make sure that you do not become associated with anything that can be damaging in terms building your fragile music industry reputation? Most forums seem to have very little advice, for the serious songwriter trying to network and find their way round the Nashville music scene, NSAI is excellent and has a co-writers section on their website, but as they cater for everyone from pro writers through to beginners it's hard to know where to start, it's seems like even if you're a talented professional if you're unsigned and your contacts have dried up, or you've been out of it for a while then you are either in the 'know' or you on the outside trying to make sence of it all! In Nashville there seems to be many consultants and workshops plus critique services, many with excellent reputations, but again by taking part in these, does it put you in the amateur bracket? Or do any really open doors? I'd also love to find a forum where you could get feedback from others in the same boat, who are willing to share their findings? Anybody out there?
