try a demographic profile on google. Also, consider the area you want to stay in. I am downtown in a loft and can tell you that EVERYBODY in this building is from somewhere else. Youngest is early 20's and oldest late 60's. All consider themselves Professionals. The profile I had researched had a demographic profile of less than 10 % black, even less Asian. I am pleased to say that was inaccurate. I can tell you that neither of these groups reside in this building at this time, it is primarily white and they all have dogs.
