Where to stay for all the action?

I am looking to stay at a hotel close to all the nightlife. Any suggestions for closest within walking distance?

Holiday Inn Express is likely your least expensive place to stay that's walking distance to bars, restaurants, the action. It's right on Broadway. What's your budget? There are several other hotels - higher-end include The Hermitage, Hilton, Renaissance Nashville, Union Station. Other moderate priced hotels - Marriott Courtyard, Hampton Inn. Hope I'm not missing anything - check all these out. Staying within walking distance may cost you more, but IMHO, definitely well worth it.
