Moving to Nashville!!

Hello! I'm looking into moving to Nashville, probably in the spring or summer. But my question is what areas are the safest to live in, as far as north, south, east, west. I'm not familiar, at all, with Nashville and have no idea where the sketchy areas are!! I've been really looking into apartments on apartmentguide.com and have found several prospects in my price range, but I want to make sure I move into a safe, clean area! Any info anyone can offer will be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

To get a idea about neighborhoods in Nashville and the surrounding areas, take a look at: www.Nashville.com/realestate and complete some searches. The price ranges and photos of homes should help you get a feel for the area where located. Once you determine where you want to live, you can always call the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department Planning Section at 615-862-7376, give them an address of a prospective residence and they can give you crime stats.
