I'm a Houston resident about to relocate to Nashville, and I am trying to find out what part of town I should look at. I recently got a job where I will have to be working in the medical center a lot. I am a 22 year old single guy looking for a one room apartment with a pretty generous range for rent. What part of town would be a good fit for me?

Probably the midtown area, which includes Hillsboro Village, 21st Avenue, and the West End corridor. This is also an area that's Nashville's "hospital row" as well as being home to Vanderbilt and Belmont Universities. And nearby the headquarters of HCA. It's a little pricey, but you said you had a decent budget.
I didn't quite understand part of your question. You said you be working in the "medical center" . . . did you mean medical field, or a particular medical center? That could make a difference.

Thanks for the response. To answer your question, I didn't mean a specific medical center just an area where a lot of healthcare facilities are. Hospital Row sounds like it would fit the bill.

In that general area are Baptist Hospital, Vanderbilt Medical Center, Vanderbilt Children's Hospital, Centennial Hospital, and St. Thomas Hospital. All of these are large hospitals. These are also a number of specialized medical facilities in the area. Nearby is the headquarters of HCA, the world's largest hospital company. People from as far away as northern Alabama and southern Kentucky are brought to Vanderbilt because it has the highest trauma center rating in the region.
There are also a number of other hospitals around Nashville. Midtown would be relatively convenient to most of them.
