Please checkout this band I saw playing in Jackson TN. They put on a great show and said they were wanting to play Rocketown and The Muse this summer. I really really liked them. Check em' out

POD is a christian band, I believe.

They're certainly in the same vein as the bands you've listed.

Switchfoot is a bit less agressive, but still an amazing rock band. Some of their newer stuff is a bit less Christian-influenced, but certainly never inappropriate. I'd let 10 year old listen to Switchfoot.

Caedmon's Call is great as well, but they're more of an acoustic band.

Tools not bad, but their cult like fanbase really overhypes them. I mean really, the "last great modern rock band?" Seriously? If anything, their last album proved that even Tool, can put out average work.
