Hello all.
I am a young PR / Marketing professional, female, early 20s who currently lives in Lynchburg, VA. I am very interested in moving to Nashville to be closer to my family in Northern Alabama. Being a young female, I am very concerned with safety. I am thinking of trying to live in the downtown area to be closer to my proposed new job.
What areas in the metro area are safe? I am not that familiar with Nashville, so I don't want to live in a drug house by accident! What apartment / housing complexes are nice? Pictures on the internet always look nice so I wanting some info from first hand sources.
Also, if not in the main part of the city, what areas are relatively close that would have short commute times during rush hour and are young professional friendly?
Thanks for your insight!

I called Kelly at Apartment Locators. She did a super job listening to my requirements, putting together a half-dozen matching recommendations, and, yesterday, I put my application into her top recommendation where I got a terrific price and a terrific apartment. I tried sniffing-out my own place, but the eight I checked were the same price and much lower quality.

There are so many apartments in Nashville, and it is just not possible to see them all. Anyone moving here should give Kelly's Apartment Locator a call to get her (no-cost) service.

By the way, I tried Apartment Selector, and I found them a complete waste of my time. I think because I was looking for a smaller apartment, they didn't think I was worth the time. I spoke with two different people there who basically totally ignored me, didn't find any recommendations, and did not return my calls.
