Hello,
Like most big cities Nashville doesn't have a central data base of homes to rent. Rental homes are usually owned by individual investors who may have just one or two homes to rent or huge portfolios but thay usually advertise individually.
At RE/MAX we do have over 400 agents that have connections to investors looking to find renters etc so we maybe able to help you there.
When it comes for actually looking to buy a home in Nashville Tennessee we have all the resources for you. You can actually start your search online at www.NashvillesMLS.com and the click on "interactive map" This will enable you to search all the homes currently listed in the MLS database for Middle Tennessee. You can revise and refine your search by price, number of bedrooms, bathrooms, sq ft etc. Each time you make an adjustment to your search you will see the map repopulate with smalll home icons. Each one of these icons represents a home that matches your search criteria.
If you don't want to use the map and would rather just see the results of pre set searches you can use the "Search by Price" links. For example, if you were interested in buying a home in Franklin in the price range of $600,000 to $700,000 you can do that HERE (http://www.nashvillesmls.com/franklin-real-estate.php)
Once you are at the Franklin Homes By Price Range page you can select the appropriate price range and instantly see all the homes that are available.
This is the link for homes in Franklin Tennessee between $600,000 and $700,000 http://www.nashvillesmls.com/mls/franklin600k700k.php
If you find that the homes are too big or you need more bedrooms you can just review another price band.
You can also review other price bands in other parts of the greater Nashville area such as Hendersonville (http://www.nashvillesmls.com/hendersonville-real-estate.php). You'll find that comparing the homes in Franklin to the homes in Hendersonville that the price per square foot is cheaper in Hendersonville ie you get more home for your money in Hendersonville. Here are the homes available in Hendersonville in the same price range: http://www.nashvillesmls.com/mls/hendersonville600k700k.php
As the official realtors of www.Nashville.com we look forward to helping you find your next home in the Nashville area. We have 10 agents that cover all of Greater Nashville so we know Nashville!
