I'm moving to your City after 8 years of my family telling me that I should. I am a little more informed about the music scene than they are, and have been for years. hence my apprehension.(i.e. how many aspiring singers-songwriters don't make it, & the ??? many more coming every month) But recent events in my life have required I change my ways. So....without much up-front planning, and knowing nothing about the place & nobody I know living anywhere close to it, I bought a 1-way plane ticket and will be landing @ the airport in about 3 weeks w/ a couple of suitcases and my guitar. And aside from the transitional funds in my boot, I have no clue where to stay ( weekly motel at first), where to look for work in my profession (Cook / sous Chef; steakhouse or fine dining preferably). and since I'll have no transportation where I can find this close together and near the clubs and other hang-outs of writers/musicians. Can Anyone give me a point in the right direction?? Man I'd appreciate it, as well as any correspondence about Music City life. Well, Thanks and I can't wait to get there & hopefully meet some of you.
Till then,
Keith Richards (yeah it's my real, at-birth name!)

It's a good move Keith. If you want to surround your self with creative people and an awesome music scene (not just country), then you're coming to the right place.
Good Luck,
Roger Daltrey (just kidding)
