Hello, Nashville! I'm a first time visitor and I'll be arriving in your fair city in early April. I'll be staying for about a week and need to find out about safe areas to run in. I'm staying in a hotel near Opryland. I'll have access to a car, but would prefer to run in the area. My runs are between 3 and 9 miles, depending on my mood! Any suggestions? Mae

Your best bet is to drive to Two Rivers Park which is between 2 and 3 miles from Opryland Resort. There are some really good running/walking paths and this park is considered safe. You can get more info by calling the parks & recreation department at: (615) 862-8400. This park has a golf course, playground, wave pool, softball & baseball fields. Oh, and one more thing, if you have time, you might want to check out the renovated 1859 Italianate Two Rivers Mansion (listed on the National Register of Historic Places). :)
