Hey all- I guess it's time to seek advise from people wiser and more in tune with the Nashville scene. I have been playing music since age 11, and writing almost as long. (hopefully the songs have gotten better over the years)Short of moving to Nashville.... what avenues are open to persue getting published as a songwriter. I'm 41 single mom with a great day job...cant move at this point and time. I have been to Nashville and had some of my music professionally produced as demos, but of course have no clue how to get anyone to listen to them. I'm guessing that you have all read this same story on this site hundreds of times..... I guess I'm hoping that one of you have some helpful, realistic advise. Any imput would be helpful!!!

Thanks and have a great day!

Here's a good place to start:
Subscribe to Music Row magazine. If you don't subscribe, at least buy the "Publisher issue" and the "Who's in Charge" issue. They have a lot of contact info. Then subscribe to either "Row Fax" (which is put out by Music Row) or Pitch this Music ( www.pitchthismusic.com ) They let you know who is looking.
