Hi, my goal by next summer is to relocate to Nashville. However, I don't know a single person there and that makes it really hard. I'd love to make friends there that can help answer my questions and maybe even meet me when I visit, show us around, suggest housing areas, schools, that sort of thing. I'm a married 30-yr. old mom of 2 young children. My husband is pretty much leaving everything up to me to handle and it's very difficult. My dream is to move to the suburbs of Nashville, like Hendersonville. :o

Hi,
Just wanted to say if you have any questions about moving to the area just let me know. I atually live in Hendersonville but the Nashville.com Real estate team has RE/MAX agents that live all over Nashville so we should be able to give you a good idea of whats happening :)
Feel free to search all the homes listed to start getting an idea of what your $ gets for you in Nashville. Just click on the RE/MAX ballon at www.Nashville.com and then you'll have instant access to all the homes listed in and around Nashville.
See you next year hopefully,
Gary :)

Hi there! May I ask why you guys are relocating to Nashville? Where have you found a place to live? My husband and I moved here a year ago from Chicago (talk about a big change!) and are settling in well. Drop me a line sometime! :)

I was looking at the Twin Oaks on apartments.com today and it looks to have everything I want and then some at a reasonable price. I plan on moving to Nashville to be a web designer hopefully working at echomusic. I start my classes this summer or fall and I will have to find a way to make money locally. I'm originally from north GA, recently moved to west central MN (brrrr) and wanting to move back south but to Nashville. I'm new to the board but I've been to Nashville many times for concerts, fan club parties & that kinda thing and I wanted to see what you think about the apartments. I'm currently a 25 yr old single white female, and I will be moving in probably as a 28 or 29 year old single white female. I won't get more than 2 bed 2 bath as it will basically be me and occasional company, oh and I'll need a preowned pickup truck.

That's not in a good part of town. With a job in music, you could live around the vandy area or green hills. Alot of the places are pretty expensive, but there are older apts for $500-600. You might have to come and drive around and look for signs. Try staying within the 37215 zip code. Sharondale drive is a good place to start. I lived there from 2002-2006 with my roommate and felt very safe, and it's close to everything. Good luck. My husband lived at Twin Oaks for 2 years, please don't move there by yourself.

I still haven't completely decided where to live yet, since I'm probably 3 to 5 years away from being able to move there anyway and I haven't had the chance to explore places to live there. Depends on how much freelance work I can find after I have my college classes finished next year. I've been building the experience, now I'm getting the papers that certify me as a web designer & developer so I can hopefully find more work easily. Before I move I will try to attend CMA Music Fest and also explore possible residencies while there. I plan on applying at music based web design firms but will also apply for other web based work as a back up. I'm probably going to need to get a car or something. We have public transport here but you have to call ahead and be waiting, so I would rather just be able to drive.
