Hey,

i am from scotland and coming over for the cmafest 2007 for first time with my little brother- plus it's my 24th birthday during the festival . i CAN'T wait, has anyone any recommendations where to stay? We plan to stay down town for the festival then travel a bit out of town for the rest of our trip.

If I were you, I'd check out downtown accommodations like: the Doubletree Hotel Nashville or the Courtyard Marriot. And, book early!!! :)

It looks like all the downtown hotels are booked. Any other suggestions? Any about tickets, is it best to buy them now are wait and try to find some good seats at the show?

You might also try:

Holiday Inn Select on West End Ave: (615) 327-4707 - There is availability June 7 - 10 - and they are about 3 miles from downtown Nashville

Or, Loews Vanderbilt Hotel, 2100 West End Ave, Nashville: (615) 320-1700 - However, it's too early to book. They recommended checking back with them in a couple of months. They're 5 minutes from downtown and they have 340 rooms. If you book at the rack rate and the rates go down, you can always rebook for the lower rate.

As for tickets, it might be taking too much of a gamble to wait to find good seats at the show - I'd buy them now.
