Hey you guys...I am looking to find out about the new upcoming artists in Nashville! Any ideas?

My favorite new artist is Tresa Jordan-she has the voice of an angel and is amazing. You should check her out. I believe she has a new album coming out sometime soon.

Oh, I love Cherryholmes! They are playing in town next Thursday at the Opry. I think they are amazing!

Hey Ya'll,
Was wondering if anyone knew anything about an artist, 'Jill Johnson'? She is from Sweden, but on her website states she had been in Nashville recording an album.. I've heard a song called "Cowboy Up" by her that they play at the country bar I go to for a line dance. Does anyone have info on the new album, if that song will be on it..

Check out a singer named Carly Joffrion. She has a great sound.
She sings "Last place I need to be".

Jill is terrific, the best country gal in Sweden. Went to her show "Music Row" in Grangesberg, a small town in middle Sweden, on Feb. 29. The smile on my face stayed for days.
The song "Cowboy Up" is on her album "The woman Iīve become" from 2006.
Last fall, 2007, she released the album "Music Row" which was produced in Nashville last year.
If you check her web page "www.jilljohnson.se" you can listen to bits of the songs on "Music Row". The duet, "Tumblin Dice", with Kim Carnes is a must.

You're right about Tresa Jordan. She's terrific. And she's getting places, too. Check her out at Great Friends Greetings (http://www.greatfriendsgreetings.com). This is a very cool little gift idea.

Although it's the goal of many artists to feel appreciated and make a living from creating, I believe that there is such a thing as too much exposure. It's just my perception of things, but when fine art becomes commercialized and mass-produced, then no matter how good the work is, it can become a kitschy eyesore.

Thats fine for Reznor and Radiohead, they are already rich. New artists cant afford to just give it away unless they love touring. Really, the music industry model has broken down badly in recent years and nobody knows how to make a decent living at it right now. There is still great new music coming out, but commercial radio programming misses most of it, and so all these bands are competing for small amounts of attention on the internet.
