I am planning a move to Nashville in late 2008 or very early 2009 and will be renting. I have visited Nashville once in October 2007 and I would like to be within walking distance of Broadway and the bars and restaurants downtown. I am wondering what rent is like in these areas and I am also curious what the names of the neighborhoods I should be searching are. I am coming from the DC metro area and I know parking is an issue here, is it an issue there? Any idea of price ranges, safety of specific areas and other neat information would be greatly appreciated. (I'm not a huge fan of 2nd Avenue, if that is at all helpful.) Thanks in advance.

Hi Tiffany, I read your message and wanted to respond with information.
The condos downtown are running around $1100-$1500 a month. I did
see a couple things listed for $750-$950 but not sure if you want those
locations. What price were you hoping to rent for and that would help
me better recommend a place to you. Sounds like you want to be close
but not IN the broadway scene, and I can understand not wanting to
live on 2nd Ave with all that going on all the time! LOL .. contact me at
cell 615.545.3199 or http://www.nashvillesmls.com/MelissaTanner.php and we'll
find the right place for you to rent. I am a relocation spe******t with
Gary Ashton's Nashville.com team, so when you are ready to own, I
can be here to help you with that as well!

Talk soon,
Mel
