I currently like in Oklahoma City and I'm finishing up my Finance degree (graduate in August). My dad recently got a new job in Nashville and my family is in the process of moving. Most of my family and friends have moved away from OKC so I have decided to move to nashville to be closer to them.

For the last couple of weeks I have been searching for Nashville companies and sending out resumes. I think I have pretty much sent resumes to most of the large companies in town (Nissan, HCA, Caremark, Dollar General, LP, etc.) Are there any other good companies that I should definately check out? I am looking to find something in Finance.

Where is a good area of town to live for a mid twenty's single guy? I can't wait to move and get to learn more about your great city.

Congratulations on your decision to move to Nashville! Sounds like a smart move! Did you know Kiplinger's recently named Nashville the "Smartest City"? Also, in January, Expansion Management named Nashville the "Hottest City"! :D

Here are some additional companies which may interest you (noticed they weren't mentioned in your post) - these companies have their corporate headquarters located in Nashville: Bridgestone/Firestone, Caterpillar Financial, Central Parking Corporation, and Gaylord Entertainment Co. You have many options!

Some pretty cool places to live in Nashville include downtown, Green Hills, or Hillsboro Village.

Good luck! ;)

Hey there, I just read your post and was wondering if you have already moved to Nashville. And if so, how do you like it?? I'm thinking of moving there in a few weeks and have never been there so I'm very curious! I'm a 30 yr old female and will be bartending nights and working sales during the day. Let me know when you get a chance! :)

I have not moved to Nashville yet. I am still trying to find a job. My parents have been in Nashville for a few weeks and they like it.
