Sure you could get a job in Nashville - but before you become a corrections officer, what type of work are you looking for? If you're open to a wide variety (ie restaurants, retail, construction, etc.), you'll be in a much better position. Night life in Nashville is great and it's great to be in downtown as there's always something going on and well, it's just "alive." Not sure on corrections training, but I'd start with the Tennessee Department of Corrections:

I am also 21 (and from Pennsylvania!) and am considering moving there once I graduate college this May! I just started considering the idea recently, but Nashville seems like a place I could fit in. I will have a certification in elementary education as well as a psychology degree. Does anyone know how the teaching field is in Nashville? I would be looking for a teaching job k-6. Here in PA there are pretty much no teaching opportunities so I'm looking for a change!
