I currently live in Albany, NY and I have been here my whole life. I have seen enough of this place. I own a contracting business here in which I would be relocating as well. I am looking for a place near downtown for a rental, perhaps a 2 bed, 2 bath near downtown. The catch is that I have 2 pickup trucks and 2, 14ft trailers that I would need parking for. Eventually, I will sell my house in Albany, and buy property in the Nashville area. Any suggestions would greatly be appreciated. Thanks.

Steve, not sure on places right in downtown Nashville that would work for you, however, check out these surrounding areas - Gallatin, Goodlettsville, Mount Juliet, Nolensville, Franklin, Brentwood, Symrn and Antioch.

I can understand why you are ready to leave NY. You can find some apartments near downtown Nashville, but the closer you are to downtown, the more expensive they will be. You will probably not find too many apartment complexes downtown or even in the suburbs that will allow you to park your trucks especially the trailers. You will probably have to find a special lot to store the trucks and trailers separate from your housing. Many of the apartment complexes have specific rules about parking. Some complexes have special parking areas for boats and campers so you will need to make sure to ask before you put any money down for a deposit. Hope this helps and good luck!

I will be traveling to Nashville July 21 thru July 25, 2010. I will check places out once I arrive. I will aggressivlvely be seeking out the housing market as well. It's a big change for me so I am quite nervous. I do plan on moving my Exterior Home Improvement business with me as well. I look forward to meeting some of you and seeing first hand what Nashville has to offer to me. Thank you.
