Hi guys and gals. I live in Columbia. I play guitar and banjo primarily, and mandolin passably well. I have been playing bluegrass, folk, and hillbilly music all my life. I am relatively new to Tennessee, though, and am looking for other musicians interested in the following: string band music; traditional blugrass (F&S, S. Brothers, B. Monroe, J. Martin); honkytonk (Hank Sr., Freddy Hart, G. Jones, Louvin Bros.); folk and hillbilly (Delmore Bros). I also write my own stuff, which I'm not sure how to classify, except that I would say that my biggest influence, far and away, both lyrically and compositionally, is John Prine. I am interested in collaborating, hanging out, and gigging with other musicians and songwriters. Please email me at alabamabard@yahoo.com - especially if you believe folk music can save the world, are interested in becoming a warrior-poet, and feel like God led you to this email. (You don't have to believe all that to write, of course).
