Looking for Cool and Quirky Place to Stay

Can anyone recommend a cool bed and breakfast in a cool old house or quirky/fun themed out hotel or anything not ******* hotel...I am coming to town for a conference in the spring. Safe neighborhood would be great too.

Also, I will be traveling back and forth to the Gaylord...and have to be there at 8:30 in the morning...I am just now looking into city maps...will I be dealing with bad traffic and is staying downtown or near night life a bad idea cause of this?

Check out these Nashville b&bs - The Timothy Demonbreun House, 1501 Linden House Bed & Breakfast (Vanderbilt) 1501 Linden House Bed & Breakfast and East Park Inn. I know there are more, but these are what I can think of off the top of my head. You'll still run into traffic headed over to Opryland, but it is an easy 15 minute drive.
