Country 80's series on TNN or CMT in diner?

In the Mid 80's I use to watch a series on either TNN or CMT. I recall it was on in the early afternoon and it kind of reminded me of like the "Alice" TV show a little. It was either in a diner or truck stop as I remember. What is the name of this show?

It was called "New Country", I used to watch it all the time. It was on TNN. I'm trying to locate some videos.
