Every year Nashville has that amazing ice sculpture display. I was wondering where and when it started. Thank you.

The ice sculpture you're referring to is ICE! at the Opryland Resort and is part of "A Country Christmas". This year it is themed "ICE! Featuring A Charlie Brown Christmas by Charles Schulze" The show will feature a colorful, interactive ice sculpture world that will consist of 2 million pounds of ice! The Peanuts characters' sculptures, slides and rooms literally constructed out of ice, will be hand carved by artisans and brought to Opryland from Harbin, China which is home to the internationally famous Harbin Ice Festival. It takes them nearly an entire month of 12 hour shifts to transform the theater where the exhibit is held into a remarkable, icy wonderland.

ICE! Featuring A Charlie Brown Christmas by Charles Schulze will be held from November 20th until January 2nd.
