Publishers??

Are there any true music publishers in Nashville, who will publish songs (if good enough) for publishing royalities only? I live in Fouke, Arkansas and don't plan a move to Nashville, Tennessee to write my music! I have a country band and have been a working musician for many years. Yep, gettin' old like everyone else but still want to pursue my writing career. I've tried several approaches and talked to several "SONG PLUGGERS" who want hundreds of dollars each month where they can set on their a*s and wait for someone to come in their doors looking for a song. Then, they may or may not play one of yours.... since most of these PLUGGERS are so called writers themselves, I'm sure they will be plugging their music instead of someone in the back woods of Southwest Arkansas! Any help or thoughts will be greatly appreciated.

Honestly - you can’t even think of pursuing a country writing career without occasionally visiting Nashville and developing some relationships here. If there's any way you could spend a decent amount of time in Nashville - you must do this!!

I understand that aspect of the business, Getting to Know someone who might know someone. But I feel if you have a great song, (not saying that mine are great), there is someone out there who would like to listen and maybe actually work the songs for the pubishing rights.
