Well I'll start off with a little info about myself. I didn't see an introduction section. My name is Edwin Song. I'm 21 and currently live in Seattle,WA. I have just gotten my AAS in guitar performance from a local community college, but plan to attend Belmont University.

So my questions are, I'm coming down in late September probably the 26th and will stay until October 1st. Where is the best place to stay that will put me within walking distance to Belmont and some fun downtown attractions? Being a musician, I really want to check out the cool local music spots and guitar stores. I have no idea where Belmont is located in relation to downtown. So any advice is greatly appreciated. I'm not looking to spend a whole lot of money, but don't want to stay in a 1 star hotel. Also what are some other things that are a must see in Nashville?
Thanks for any advice you guys & gals can give
Edwin Song

Although Belmont University is a few minutes away from downtown Nashville - you'll need to drive or be driven there. Of course you will definitely want to go downtown - especially since you're a musician - and visit all the honky tonk bars lining Broadway. You can walk to Hillsboro Village - which is a hip & trendy area with bars and restaurants and is close to the Belmont campus As for hotels, look into any of these - Brentwood Hilton Suites, Comfort Inn and Suites in Brentwood, Comfort Inn West Nashville, Courtyard by Marriott in Vanderbilt West End, Guesthouse Inn & Suites and Hilton Garden Inn Nashville/Vanderbilt.

I too was looking for a place to stay in Nashville and happened across this site from the Vanderbilt U web site. Some pretty good discounts even for visitors. Many of them are booked straight through the various hotel web sites...

Go to the interactive map. It's easy to use. Good luck!
