is reinventing that tradition with casually elegant style. The menu
tips its hat to the South (a grits cake garnishes the rock shrimp
appetizer, white beans fill out the bouillabaisse) while remaining
fresh and inventive. Winner entrees include the veal scaloppini
topped with lobster, praline bacon and white cheddar, Tennessee
trout and Jack Daniel's marinated steak with roasted garlic mashed

The Mad Platter Restaurant, located minutes from
downtown in Historic Germantown, offers daily changing menus and
an award-winning wine list. An example of our dishes include: filet
of beef tenderloin cracked black pepper crusted and topped with

sun-dried tomato and parmesan polenta and the mad platter rack of

selections include slow-roasted Prime Rib and the best-selling Prince
Williams Blue-cheese Stuffed Filet, so named because of the prince's
visit to Sperry's in 2005. Sperry's warm and unique English Tudor
atmosphere has three stone fireplaces and beautiful stained glass
in addition to a myriad of decorations collected over the years.
Many guests inquire about our table tops and bar. They were built
on the premises from Liberty ship hatch covers used in World War
II. The bar top is hand carved from this wood. The unique finish
was achieved by repeated applications of an epoxy resin, rubbed
to a mirror finish. Sperry's has brought to Nashville a unique dining
concept of tasteful surroundings combined with a high staff-to-seating
ratio, and quality food offered at reasonable prices. |
