SEG Seeking Short Films
to Screen at the Summer Event
Accepting Short Horror Films for Halloween in July Party
until July 15 / Scenario Entertainment Group is accepting
submissions of original short horror films, sketches and
trailers to play at the Halloween in July Show, a concert,
carnival and costume party to be hosted by Telecommunicators
at The Rutledge on July 22nd. All horror genres are invited.
The event is open to the public ages 18 and up, though film
submissions will be accepted from all ages. The event will
feature a costume contest, a “Murder Makeovers”
booth staffed by professional FX makeup artists, a “shoot-the-zombie”
booth, giant-screen 4player video gaming, and more. All
filmmakers whose works are shown will be entered into a

Players Accepting Submissions
Are you the next Spielberg, Scorsese, or Ephron? The 2nd
annual Steeple Players Independent Film Festival (SPIFFs)
is looking for you. The festival is currently accepting
submissions from talented student filmmakers. The deadline
for submissions is July 15. SPIFFs will submit a grand prize
to the next Sundance Film Festival. Steeple Players will
also post winners in various categories on our website and
will include a link to YouTube. All accepted films will
be show during the SPIFFs, July 24 and 25, from 7 pm to
11 pm. The festival will be held at Steeple Players, 260
West Main Street in Hendersonville. All entrants will receive

Give a Damn Sundays
Nashville's resident rocker Nathan Lee is launching a weekly
concert series in anticipation of the release of his latest
album, Risk Everything. "Give a Damn Sundays"
- a six-week live music series - will take place weekly
at 12th & Porter from July 5th through August 9th. The
proceeds of this concert series will benefit World Vision,
an organization that provides relief efforts internationally
and is particularly focused on providing clean water to
communities in Africa. Each concert will raise awareness
about the clean water issue and of special note is that
every dollar that is donated at the door will be matched
by World Vision, doubling the impact of this initiative.
The shows start at 7 pm and admission is $5. Lee will perform
with new guest artists each week of the series.

Tennessee State Fairgrounds, Wedgewood Exit off I-65 in
Nashville. There will be approximately 20 dealers from several
states exhibiting and selling pattern, depression era, and
elegant glass by manufacturers such as Fostoria, Heisey,
Cambridge, Imperial, Morgantown, Westmoreland and other
U.S. companies that are no longer in business. Dealers will
also have American made pottery by manufactuers such as
