Welcome back Team David followers,
Let’s flip the calendar page over and say hello to September! The month traditionally marking the end of summer with bbq cookouts, fun on the water and beginning of the NFL and college football seasons. GO TITANS!!!
Today I would like to honor Labor Day. The federal holiday is a foundation of the labor movement and is set aside to pay tribute to the social and economic achievements of American workers. It culminates into a yearly national acknowledgment to the roles workers have made to the strength, prosperity, and well-being of this country of ours. I would like to salute all the hard working, industrious, and diligent laborer’s who make-up our nation’s backbone. A 21 GUN SALUTE!!!
The thundershowers we had over the weekend greened up the lawn which was beginning to become bit crunchy from the late August mini-heat wave. I have noticed some of the trees have already begun to show signs of autumn. The burning bushes have also started to take on their rustic burgundy hues. The weather was pleasant enough to start bringing in my fall harvest of pumpkins, acorn, and butternut squashes without breaking a sweat. I will be breaking out the stored boxes of fall decorations next week to welcome in the season.
I am doing much better since I started taking the steroids to reduce the swelling around my liver area from the secondary tumors. We were told by the doctors not to be concerned about the secondary tumors on my liver or on the inside of my right lung. The heart tumor was going to burst or the PE, pulmonary embolism, was going to shoot off before my liver and lung tumors would be of concern. Famous last words as I was supposed to be dead by now. As an outlier to the statistics I should have prepared.
I now have the oddest thing which cannot be explained by the two Hospice medical doctors, nurse, or by online medical sources which is occurring on the palm side of both hands. I have tiny specks of grain coming up through my pores. When I looked at my hand under a magnifying glass, I could see specks of hard, shinny, sand-like grains and they feel like course sandpaper from the tips of my fingers to my wrist. If anyone out there has a suggestion, I am listening…..
Well folks, I have a bbq cookout with my family up at Franklin, KY so I will close for now and get off of here for today. Be safe out on the roads and Happy Labor Day to everyone!! Don’t forget to put away those white shoes and seersucker suits.
Go Team David!
Stay positive until tomorrow…
